ABOUT US

Three Peas in a Pod(cast) was established on February 28th, 2019 by Joselyn Campos, Cynthia Valencia, and Joanne Tran in Irvine, California. As a group, we aim to make entertaining and informative podcasts that will brighten your day, and at the same time, make you ponder about the reality we are immersed in in current-day America. Luckily, each of our episodes are at most 20 minutes, so whether you’re on a quick walk, in the car, or just laying in bed, tune into our podcast and listen in on our conversation about the news of the day!

Joselyn Campos

Hey guys! I am Joselyn, one of the co-hosts of Three Peas in a Pod(cast). I was born and raised in Los Angeles, however, both of my parents are immigrants from Guatemala and El Salvador. Since Spanish was my first language, I was classified as an English Learner(EL) student. Now I as a first-generation student, I am attending the University of California, Irvine as a freshman. I am hoping to major in Informatics.

Joanne Tran

Hi! My name is Joanne Tran, and I am a native Californian! I was born in Arcadia on February 4, 2000, and currently, I am a first-year student at the University of California, Irvine, majoring in Biological Sciences. Coming from a family who immigrated to America from Vietnam, I am a part of the first generation of children to be fully raised on American soil. Thus, I am a Vietnamese-American, and fortunately, I am deeply rooted to both cultures! Being one of the co-hosts of this podcast, I look forward to sharing with everyone my experiences and thoughts as a bilingual speaker, child of immigrants, and even as an academic discourse community member!

Cynthia Valencia

Hi! My name is Cynthia, I was born and raised in the Bay Area and am now attending the University of California, Irvine. I am living life in hopes of making it far as a Marketer and Graphic Designer. I identify as a Latina, Chicana, first generation student, bilingual speaker, and I am a daughter to an immigrant father. This has influenced my ideas and values, many of which I am excited to talk about in the Podcasts!
